How can I get gmail to find all one sender's email and make a folder?

1. In Gmail, make a new folder for the friends mail.

2. Find and open an e-mail from your friend.

3. Click on the "More options" link at the top of the e-mail message. You can now get the copy the From: address to the clipboard. (Ctrl-C)

4. Paste the address (Ctrl-V) into the search window at the top of the page and click on "Search Mail"

5. On the search results page, click on the "All" link, this will select all of the messages that were found by the search.

6. Click on the "More Actions..." dropdown, go down under "Apply Label" to find the name of the new folder and click on it. Done.

You might also want to create a filter to sort any new messages directly into the folder.

I don't have gmail, but usually there'll be a 'mail search' button and than you can go to "advanced search" and type that person's email and then select 'go'.
Reply:first you search you mail for emails by that sender then check those emails and move them to the folder.
