How do i get gmail to open when i click on an email address on a web page?

when i click on an email, my yahoo email is opened with the email address already in the "to" box, how do i get it to open with gmail?

You will have to install the Google Desktop Toolbar application so that it can run alongside your browser, detecting that when you click on an e-mail address, it automatically starts up your Google Mail.
