I am receiving 12 to 15 spam mails daily in gmail. How to get rid of them?

Is there any special setting required to be set? I always have to delet them but can I block them ?

Reply:Buddy, it is time for you to switch over to yahoo mail. Yahoo email has more powerful filter.

Reply:you can click the blue down arrow at the top of the message and "mark as spam"
Reply:Load the Yahoo tool bat and run antispy. Download spybot and run that. These 2 things should help a lot. Yahoo mail seperates your mail and all the spam goes in one folder. All of these things are free.
Reply:If you open any spam mail, the sender will lock in your address and continue sending to you, even if you "Unsubscribe." So don't open any.
Reply:Scroll down to your e-mail and look for the, "If you wish to stop recieving these e-mails, click here." Or something to that effect.
