Is there a way to get an alert on my cell phone when I get a gmail?

On my gmail email account I am always logging in to check for an email from an employee who needs to use that address. Does it have the yahoo feature where you can get an alert on your cell phone when an email comes??

Reply:yes you can but they charge for each alert.
Reply:If you have a Blackberry, no problem. Not sure about a standard phone.
