every time i go to these two sites it displays the white "Page cannot be displayed" page. but everything, the web address, is right. i'm wondering is it because the chinese government blocks them, or something i can tinker with my laptop?
How do you get to gmail and facebook in china?
The Chinese government blocks a great many websites from the public. Especially social sites and web based email sites. And they have thousands of people that monitor users activities.
Be careful.
Reply:It may very well be that the government is limiting access via internet to certain sites. Regrettably, I'm unfamiliar with the government's policies vis a vis internet restrictions. These policies may not be publicly available (I doubt they are).
