i sent a text only email to someone and they said they logged my IP. is this possible?
Can someone get your IP address from a gmail email?
There are techniques available to find an IP address in a sender's email.

However, Gmail doesn't reveal the sender's IP address in the email header, and you can only obtain the address of Gmail's mailserver in the "received from" section.
Go to Google help %26gt; Gmail help %26gt; privacy and security for more information
Reply:Gmail does, but the person who you send it to get the gmail IP.
If you send something that's not really nice the person can write gmail for action on your account. It would really have to be terrible and likely end up in court for your IP and stuff to be given out.
Or if the person somehow hacked gmail.
Reply:This will explain how it works..
