2)ask someone who has an account with gmail to send you a invite
Reply:If you're in America, simply go to http://gmail.google.com and type in your phone number. Google will send you an sms and you'll get Gmail!

If I have a gmail account I could refer a number of users to gmail.





I could submit the emailaddress of the people who wants to use Gmail. Then the gmail will send an email to that person with a link. The person have to click on that link and complete the registration.
