How can i get notification of my mail being read by the recipiant using gmail?

i want to send a mail from my gmail to other gmail account. and i want the notification of the mail being read... can i do that

Not from gmail directly.





You would have to use another application (Thunderbird, Outlook) w/ POP3 for your gmail account and send it through that to get a read receipt.
