I had mine texted messaged to my phone, but yeah, just ask for an invite. I've only had gmail for about a week, and it hasn't allowed me invite anybody yet.
Is there any way to get a gmail account without a text msgs to your cell phone? Please help me with this?

Reply:I got mine by running searches on various search engines. There are lots of people with plenty of invites they are giving away. Timing is the key and it is why it took me a while. Sometimes they have run out. But if you keep trying and look for the newest posts (Google groups is where I found mine) you will eventually find someone who is more than happy to give you one. Watch out for scam sites that promise you a gmail account if you fill out a survey or something. I ran into a couple of those.
