My attempt to get to gmail is showing a graphics font which I can't identify rather than English. Why?

This seems to happen when a Yahoo toolbar is on the screen (which I have not orderd but it comes up on some computer I use at internet public sites).

Most likely you're going through a web proxy in another country, google is automatically detecting that and thinks you're coming from China or Japan or similar.

To force the language to be english, go to https://mail.google.com/mail/ instead of the usual address you use and it hopefully won't redirect you.
Reply:Control panel %26gt; Add or remove programs %26gt; Find Yahoo Toolbar %26gt; Uninstall

If it still doesn't work, go to your browser font settings
